Friday 22 September

NorthTec Open Space conference with staff and students

10am: Welcome & morning tea
10.30am Opening address from Terry Barnett (Chief Executive)
10.45am: Open Space (general theme: Networked / e-learning in Northland)
12.30pm: Lunch
1.30pm: Open Space continues. Smaller venues are available for sessions on specific topics (eg. Second Life, Designing Tools)
4.30pm Close - drive to accommodation at Oceans Tutukaka

Saturday 23 September

8.30am: Working breakfast. The topic is the general theme of staff and professional development for networked learning, with specific reference to the NorthTec Certificate in e-Learning Design and Development (CeLDD) (a new qualification developed by NorthTec, Massey University and People Potential as an eCDF project). This continues the action research process used to develop CeLDD, with the group providing their perspectives. If connectivity permits this session will be available via Skype to other interested participants.

11am Depart for lunchtime cruise on Caverider to Riko Riko Cave at Poor Knights

3pm Return - depart for Auckland to catch 7.30pm ferry to Waiheke Island
